Nashville, TN - BMI (Broadcast Music International) and award winning songwriting legend Dean Dillon are proud to present the 5th Annual Mountain High Music Festival on January 16-19, 2019, in Mt Crested Butte, CO. The three day festival will feature a variety of exclusive, intimate settings that will showcase world class singer/songwriters and recording artists, along with burgeoning up and coming hit makers.
Dean Dillon originally launched Mountain High Music Festival in 2015, and has watched the festival grow larger each year. “You’ll never have another chance to experience this once in a lifetime weekend,” says Dillon. “ I can’t wait.” Dillon has had an unprecedented songwriting career. George Strait has recorded 70 of his songs, and he’s had numerous hits by artists like Kenny Chesney, Alabama, Toby Keith, Vince Gill, Brooks & Dunn, Lee Ann Womack and more. His song success has spanned decades and continues to impact new generations. Many of his songs have reached country standard status, including “The Chair” and “Tennessee Whiskey”, the latter scoring an ACM Nomination for 2016 Song of The Year. His incredible career was made into a documentary, Tennessee Whiskey: The Dean Dillon Story, and was released on September 19, 2017 and he has just been nominated for the 2019 Songwriters Hall of Fame. Dillon has recently launched his own record label, Dean Dillon’s Wildcatter Records and signed 2016 Winner of NBC’s The Voice, soul country founder Sundance Head, who will be performing at the festival, giving festival attendees a preview of his debut album, Stained Glass And Neon (produced by Dillon), out January 28.
One of the featured headliners, Jamey Johnson, is one of only a few people in the history of country music to win two Song of the Year Awards from both the CMA and ACMs. After a successful songwriting career of penned hits for Toby Keith, George Strait and others, Johnson skyrocketed his solo career with songs like “The Dollar”, “High Cost of Living” and “In Color”. Kiefer Sutherland, who rose to fame as an accomplished film and television actor with an array of awards including two Emmy® Awards, GOLDEN GLOBE®, and SAG Awards®, recently performed 50 shows in 7 countries in less than 3 months during his 2018 Reckless North American and European tour and has developed his career as a touring and recording artist as a respected guitarist and vocalist. Country Music star Craig Morgan has risen to iconic status in country music as a hitmaker, television star, and respected Grand Ole Opry member. He’s had 25 Billboard hits including: “This Ole Boy,” ”Almost Home," "Redneck Yacht Club," and "That's What I Love About Sunday.” Other featured performers include Pam Tillis, Scotty Emerick, Kendell Marvel’s Honky Tonk Experience, James Otto, Ben Burgess, Lance Carpenter, Jesse Rice, Jordan Rainer, Marla Cannon, and Sonia Leigh.
